With its lush, tropical-themed environments and commitment to animal welfare, Amazon World Zoo offers an immersive experience that brings the vibrant world of the rainforest to life.

Key Features of Amazon World Zoo:

  1. Diverse Range of Exotic Animals - Amazon World Zoo is home to over 200 species of animals, including mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, and invertebrates. The zoo focuses on creatures from tropical rainforests, and visitors can see everything from playful monkeys and vibrant parrots to slithering snakes and colorful frogs. Some of the highlights include marmosets, sloths, toucans, armadillos, anteaters, and ocelots. There are also more unusual species like tapirs, tamanduas, and caimans that give visitors a chance to see animals they might not encounter in more traditional zoos.
  2. Lush Tropical Environments - One of the standout features of Amazon World Zoo is its lush, rainforest-inspired environments. The enclosures are designed to mimic the animals’ natural habitats, complete with tropical plants, waterfalls, and tree canopies. This attention to detail helps to create a more immersive experience, making visitors feel as though they are exploring the depths of a real rainforest. The warm, humid conditions inside the enclosures also provide the ideal environment for the zoo’s tropical residents.
  3. Educational Focus and Conservation Efforts - Amazon World Zoo is not just about displaying animals; it has a strong educational and conservation mission. The zoo is actively involved in various conservation projects around the world, working to protect endangered species and their habitats. Throughout the zoo, there are informative displays and signage that educate visitors about the threats faced by these animals in the wild, such as habitat loss, poaching, and climate change. The zoo also emphasizes the importance of sustainable practices and how everyday choices can help protect the environment.
  4. Up-Close Animal Encounters - Visitors to Amazon World Zoo have the opportunity to get up close and personal with many of the animals. The zoo offers special animal encounters, where guests can meet and feed certain species under the guidance of the zoo’s knowledgeable staff. These encounters allow visitors to learn more about the animals’ behaviors, diets, and personalities while fostering a deeper appreciation for wildlife. Popular encounters include feeding the tamanduas, meeting the meerkats, and getting to know the friendly macaws.
  5. Tropical Bird Aviaries - The zoo features several walk-through aviaries where visitors can observe a variety of tropical birds in a more natural setting. These aviaries are alive with the sounds and colors of parrots, toucans, and other exotic species flying freely among the plants. The immersive environment allows visitors to appreciate the beauty and diversity of bird species, many of which are rare or endangered. The aviaries also provide information about the conservation efforts needed to protect these birds in the wild.
  6. Nocturnal House - One of the unique aspects of Amazon World Zoo is its nocturnal house, where visitors can see animals that are active at night. This area is designed to simulate nighttime conditions, allowing guests to observe the behaviors of nocturnal species like bats, slow lorises, and kinkajous. The dim lighting and quiet environment provide a fascinating glimpse into a different side of the animal world, where creatures that are often hidden during the day can be seen going about their nightly routines.
  7. Reptiles, Amphibians, and Invertebrates - Amazon World Zoo is home to a variety of reptiles, amphibians, and invertebrates, including snakes, lizards, frogs, turtles, and tarantulas. Visitors can learn about the unique adaptations that help these creatures survive in their environments, from the camouflage of chameleons to the powerful constriction of boas. The zoo’s exhibits highlight the importance of these often-underappreciated animals in maintaining healthy ecosystems.
  8. Children’s Play Area and Café - Amazon World Zoo is a family-friendly destination, complete with a children’s play area where kids can burn off some energy after exploring the exhibits. The zoo also has a café that serves a selection of hot meals, snacks, and refreshments, making it easy for families to spend a full day at the park. The café features indoor and outdoor seating, so visitors can relax and enjoy a meal while overlooking the zoo’s lush surroundings.

5 star stay at the island retreat. We enjoyed a weeks stay here and loved it. The caravan held more than the essential things, including a coffee machine, air fryer and TV. The oil heaters kept the caravan warm whilst we were out, so the caravan was always nice and cosy for us on return from days out. The caravan was clean and tidy and an easy check in and check out system. We also thought the welcome pack was a fab idea as we hadn’t yet done a food shop before we arrived so it was nice to have a hot brew after a long journey. There was so many things to do in the area in general but most importantly activities and walks were dog friendly so our gorgeous pup Ronnie enjoyed his holidays too. We could have definitely had another week here, we will be booking again.

5-Star Review for Isle of Wight Stays in SandownWe had an absolutely fantastic stay at the Isle of Wight Stays caravan in Sandown! From the moment we arrived, we felt right at home. The caravan was spotless, well-equipped, and very comfortable, with everything we needed for a relaxing break. The location is perfect, just a short walk to the beautiful Sandown Beach and close to the island’s main attractions – it made exploring so easy and enjoyable. We especially loved the outdoor deck area, which was ideal for enjoying our morning coffee or a quiet evening. The hosts were wonderful too – responsive, friendly, and thoughtful, even leaving a lovely welcome pack with some local treats! It’s a perfect spot for families, couples, or anyone looking to unwind by the sea. We’re already looking forward to booking our next stay. Highly recommend Isle of Wight Stays for a memorable, stress-free getaway! 🌊🌞
