Each vehicle is carefully restored and maintained by dedicated volunteers, allowing visitors to see these magnificent machines in their full glory.
  2. Historic Vehicles with Local Significance - Many of the buses on display have a deep connection to the Isle of Wight’s history, having served routes across the island for decades. These include double-deckers, single-deckers, and coaches that carried commuters, tourists, and schoolchildren. Visitors can learn about the role these vehicles played in the daily life of the island, as well as the different bus companies that operated over the years.

  5. Memorabilia and Nostalgic Items - In addition to the buses, the museum features a collection of memorabilia that adds to the nostalgic charm. Items on display include old bus timetables, tickets, signage, conductor uniforms, and even model buses. These pieces help to paint a picture of the era when these vehicles were in operation, making it a nostalgic journey for those who remember those days.

5 star stay at the island retreat. We enjoyed a weeks stay here and loved it. The caravan held more than the essential things, including a coffee machine, air fryer and TV. The oil heaters kept the caravan warm whilst we were out, so the caravan was always nice and cosy for us on return from days out. The caravan was clean and tidy and an easy check in and check out system. We also thought the welcome pack was a fab idea as we hadn’t yet done a food shop before we arrived so it was nice to have a hot brew after a long journey. There was so many things to do in the area in general but most importantly activities and walks were dog friendly so our gorgeous pup Ronnie enjoyed his holidays too. We could have definitely had another week here, we will be booking again.
