We had a last minute caravan stay in October. What a quaint place to stay. The local area was great I would definately book here again.

Our stay at Island Retreat on the Isle of Wight was absolutely wonderful! The caravan was spotless, well-equipped, and very comfortable, offering everything we needed for a relaxing holiday. Located near Sandown, it was the perfect base to explore the island’s attractions, from Shanklin Chine to the scenic Red Squirrel Trail. The view from the caravan was stunning, especially at sunset, and we loved having our morning coffee on the deck. The caravan had a cozy, welcoming feel, and it was clear the hosts took great care in preparing everything. They even left a thoughtful welcome pack with local treats that made us feel right at home. The park facilities were great, with plenty of family-friendly activities, and it was just a short walk to the beach. Communication with the owners was easy and efficient – they were friendly, quick to respond, and provided helpful tips for making the most of our visit. Highly recommend Island Retreat for anyone looking to experience the Isle of Wight in comfort and style. Can’t wait to return next year!

Our week at Island Retreat

Our stay at the caravan was everything we hoped for and more! From the moment we arrived, it felt like a home away from home. The caravan was beautifully maintained, clean, and equipped with everything we needed – from a fully stocked kitchen to cozy bedding and plenty of thoughtful touches. The location was ideal, nestled close to Sandown Beach and only a short drive to many of the island’s best spots like The Needles and Ventnor Botanical Gardens. We especially loved the peaceful evenings sitting on the deck, soaking in the sunset and the beautiful surroundings. The hosts were fantastic, providing clear check-in instructions and a warm welcome with local treats waiting for us on arrival. They even included a guidebook with recommended spots to eat and visit, which was incredibly helpful. Overall, Island Retreat offered a perfect mix of relaxation and adventure, and we can’t recommend it enough for families or couples looking for a getaway on the Isle of Wight. We’ll definitely be back!

Fab stay, lovely caravan with everything we needed. Very responsive to messages prior to coming and Wendy was fab meeting us at the van straight from the ferry so we didnt have to kill a few hours! Had a problem with gas which Wendy resolved straight away. Thank you and we will be back 🙂

We have really enjoyed our stay over New Year! Managing to see most of what Isle of Wight has to offer, and having some lovely walks on the beach with our dog. A cozy caravan, even when its freezing outside. Thanks for the coffee and biscuits! Those extra touches are Brill 🙂

Everything! Was relaxing as soon as we arrived , met by lovely wendy, who had the heating on ready for us, showed us around , was full of cosy throws and lamps and cosy fleecy bedding x lots of books and toys for my young daughter and stocked up with coffee, tea sugar and even milk in the fridge and some cute snacks x fridge with a small freezer, hairdryer, iron, hoover cleaning products! A small welcoming bar a couple of minutes away with a pool table , darts and juke box, childrens teddy machines and a fabulous roast dinner on a sunday to die for! Swimming pool outdoors although not open as winter! Darrel and sue were also available to help us with anything else we needed and all went out of their way to make our stay fantastic! We will be back soon! X Nothing ! X

A lovely caravan with all what you need for your stay

It was perfect for our long weekend visiting family, it was comfortable, warm & very clean Nothing

A brilliant stay in a well equipped caravan!

We stayed for 4 nights over the new year period and had a fantastic stay! The location in Sandown was ideal for our needs, as we could take our dog to the beach every morning and as the island isn’t big, could be at the needles in an hour. The caravan was spacious and warm, even when the temperature dropped below zero. The hosts went above and beyond what we’d expect and provided a filter coffee machine and the coffee! The shower felt luxurious being so powerful and can be turned to properly hot! Overall, very pleased with the stay and we had a great time!

Absolutely loved our stay! Welcomed in with open arms! Beautiful quiet park, beautiful caravan with all the important cosy touches! Nice and warm and with all the kitchen essentials and even milk in the fridge! Toys and books aplenty for my daughter! Fleecy bedding and a cosy bed , cleaning products , hairdyer, iron , hoover, nice warm power shower , and a small bar with pool and dart board, a juke box and childrens arcade machines and a sunday roast to die for with every meat and side you could fit in! 5 star stay at the island retreat. We enjoyed a weeks stay here and loved it. The caravan held more than the essential things, including a coffee machine, air fryer and TV. The oil heaters kept the caravan warm whilst we were out, so the caravan was always nice and cosy for us on return from days out. The caravan was clean and tidy and an easy check in and check out system. We also thought the welcome pack was a fab idea as we hadn’t yet done a food shop before we arrived so it was nice to have a hot brew after a long journey. There was so many things to do in the area in general but most importantly activities and walks were dog friendly so our gorgeous pup Ronnie enjoyed his holidays too. We could have definitely had another week here, we will be booking again.

What a stunning home from home

Thank you Darrel amd Sue, absolutely beautiful caravan at the bordeaux, nothing is to much trouble for these guys, very spacious very clean very comfy caravan. Beautiful site here also . If anyone is looking at stays this Lady and Gentlemen are the hosts you need for a perfect holiday. Caravan is ideal it’s close to absolutely everything and I will definitely be returning ☺️ thank again Darrel and Sue xx
