Original illustrated winter ferry-planning scene, branded with the authentic Isle of Wight Stays logo and advising guests to check sailings from 2 November 2026.

Planning an Isle of Wight break in November or December? Wightlink has published its winter and Christmas timetables, so it is worth checking your route before setting out.

Key dates for winter sailings

The published Lymington to Yarmouth timetable changes on Monday 2 November 2026 and runs through Sunday 20 December. A separate Christmas timetable covers Monday 21 December 2026 to Sunday 3 January 2027.

For Portsmouth to Fishbourne, the winter timetable runs from Monday 2 November to Thursday 17 December 2026. The Christmas timetable begins on Friday 18 December and continues through Sunday 3 January 2027.

Wightlink states that there are no sailings on Christmas Day, 25 December. Timings can change for operational reasons, so always check the live timetable before travel.

Allow time for check-in

For the published winter schedules, vehicle passengers should check in at least 30 minutes before departure, but no more than one hour beforehand. Foot passengers should check in at least 15 minutes before departure. Some sailings have restricted passenger numbers and require advance booking.
